Images and artificial intelligence
The photographs show real products, spaces and projects by the studio. Some short videos are generated with artificial intelligence from the project images: we declare them on the page, to screen reader users and in the file.
In brief
- the products you see in the generated videos are the ones designed by the studio and manufactured by the client companies: shape, proportions and materials come from the project images;
- artificial intelligence generates the camera movement and the transition from one shot to the next, starting from those images;
- every generated video carries the label ‘AI’, states it in the description for screen reader users and records it in the file metadata.
Generated videos
The short videos without sound that present these products are generated with artificial intelligence from the project images:
- Prime, countertop washbasin;
- Flight, wall-hung washbasin;
- Shine, wall-hung washbasin;
- Giotto, bathroom accessories;
- Demì, chopping board, with two videos: the opening and ‘Demì in motion’.
The same videos appear in three places on the site: at the opening of each project page, in the previews on the Case studies page and, for Prime, Flight, Shine, Giotto and Demì, in the video presentation on the home page.
They show the product in a space and from several viewpoints. They do not document a specific installation or real use filmed on location.
How to recognise them
- On the page: the ‘AI’ label in the corner of the video.
- For screen reader users: the video description ends with ‘Video generated with artificial intelligence from the project images’.
- In the file: the metadata record the IPTC digital source type ‘trainedAlgorithmicMedia’, the standard used by archives, platforms and search engines to recognise generated content; the label stays with the video even when it is downloaded or shared outside the site.
Real photographs and videos
The following are not generated with artificial intelligence:
- the photographs of products, spaces and projects, on the case study pages and in the insights;
- the Sherlock animation, in which the audio guide breaks down into its components: it was made in Fusion 360 from the three-dimensional design model;
- the videos of interviews and events, and the videos of the Design for All Italia project;
- the design sketches, which draw themselves on screen as the hand that made them drew them;
- the charts and the map of ageing data, built from the Eurostat data cited on the page.
The animations of dots and lines on some pages are drawn by the site's own code: they are not generated by an artificial intelligence model and do not depict real people or places.
