Privacy notice
The forall.rodighiero.design website uses no profiling or advertising cookies, has no forms to fill in and counts visits only if you consent. Here we explain which data are processed when you use the site, why, for how long, and what rights you have.
In brief
We designed the site to collect as little as possible. In practice:
- it uses Google Analytics, to count visits and understand which pages are most useful, only if you accept it in the ‘Visit statistics’ box; if you reject it, nothing is loaded;
- it does not use profiling or advertising cookies;
- it has no forms: to write to us or call us, you use your own email or phone;
- fonts and images are hosted on the site itself, without Google Fonts;
- accessibility preferences stay on your device and are not sent to us;
- machine translation and YouTube videos load only when you choose them.
You can change your choice at any time from ‘Cookie preferences’, at the bottom of every page.
Controller
The controller is Studio Rodighiero Associati srl, VAT no. 01846050209, which operates under the Rodighiero.Design for All brand.
For any question about your data you can write to us at forall@rodighiero.design or call us on +39 02 81577785 or +39 349 7751763.
What data we process
Browsing data
Like any website, this one is hosted on a server that automatically records some technical data about each visit: IP address, date and time, page requested, type of browser and operating system. These data are needed to run the site and to protect it from misuse. We do not use them to identify or profile people.
Visit statistics, with your consent
If you choose ‘Accept’ in the ‘Visit statistics’ box, the site loads Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. We use it only to find out, in aggregate form, how many people visit the site, which pages they arrive on, which pages they read and for how long, what type of device they use and which country they are in.
Google Analytics 4 receives your IP address in order to derive your country but, according to Google, does not log or store it. We have disabled Google signals and ad personalisation: the data are not used for advertising purposes and we do not combine them with other data. If you choose ‘Reject’, or make no choice, Google Analytics does not load.
Messages and phone calls
If you write to us or call us, we process the data you provide, such as your name, contact details and the content of your enquiry, only to reply to you and, if we so agree together, to carry out the work that follows.
On the Contact page, the tool for preparing a brief does not ask for your name, email address or phone number: your answers are compiled in your browser, are not saved and do not reach us unless you choose to send the message from your own email account.
Cookies and storage on your device
The full list, with the button to change your choice, is also on the Cookies page.
Analytics cookies, only with your consent
If you accept visit statistics, Google Analytics sets two cookies on the site’s domain:
- _ga: distinguishes one visitor from another with a random identifier (pseudonymous data), without knowing who you are; duration 13 months;
- _ga_JSEMGBZ01T: remembers the current session; duration 13 months.
If you reject visit statistics, these cookies are not created. If you withdraw your consent from ‘Cookie preferences’, we delete them from your browser and Google Analytics stops working.
Technical storage
To remember your choices, the site uses the browser’s local storage, which stays on your device and is not sent to us:
- forall-consenso: your choice about visit statistics, ‘Accept’ or ‘Reject’, and its date; after six months we ask you again;
- forall-preferenze: the preferences in the Accessibility panel, that is text size, spacing, high-legibility font, contrast, highlighted links, image descriptions, stopped animations and opening links in the same tab;
- forall-spiegazioni: whether you have chosen to show the explanations of the controls in the panel;
- forall-lingua: the language you have chosen from German, French and Spanish, so that machine translation continues from one page to the next.
This information remains until you press ‘Reset’ in the Accessibility panel, switch back to English or clear this site’s data in your browser settings. It is technical storage, needed to give you what you asked for, and so it does not require consent.
The only cookie that may appear is googtrans, set by the translation service only when you choose German, French or Spanish, to keep the translation as you browse.
The panel’s read-aloud function uses your device’s synthetic voice and, where available, chooses a voice that works without a network connection: the site does not send the text to external services.
External services, only when you choose them
Until you take an action, the site loads nothing from other websites. Apart from visit statistics, which start only with your consent, two external services are activated only if you ask for them.
Machine translation
The Italian and English texts are written and edited by the studio, without external services. If you choose German, French or Spanish, your browser loads GTranslate, a service of GTranslate Inc., based in the United States, which relies on Google Translate. From that moment, GTranslate and Google receive your IP address and the technical data of the connection, and the text of the page is sent to Google for translation.
The processing of these data is governed by GTranslate’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab) and Google’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
YouTube videos
Some articles and some case studies contain YouTube videos. In their place, the site shows an image of our own with a play button: until you press it, the site does not connect to YouTube. When you press it, your browser loads YouTube’s application programming interface (youtube.com) and the player from the no-cookie version (youtube-nocookie.com). From that moment YouTube, a Google service, receives your IP address and may store information in your browser, in accordance with the Google privacy policy mentioned above. Videos hosted on the site itself play without external services.
Links to other sites
Links to external sites, such as the sources cited in the articles or LinkedIn, load nothing until you open them. From that moment, the rules of the site visited apply.
Purposes and legal bases
- Browsing data, for the operation and security of the site: our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, GDPR).
- Messages and phone calls, to reply to your enquiries and to prepare any potential commission: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract, or performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR); for enquiries not related to a commission, our legitimate interests in replying to you (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Visit statistics (Google Analytics): your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, and Article 122 of the Codice in materia di protezione dei dati personali, the Italian Personal Data Protection Code), which you can withdraw at any time from ‘Cookie preferences’ without any consequence for your use of the site; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.
- Storage on your device, to remember your choices: technical storage strictly necessary for a service you have requested (Article 122 of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code, Legislative Decree 196/2003).
- Machine translation and YouTube videos: these are activated only by an explicit action on your part, choosing the language or pressing the video button. The processing carried out by GTranslate and Google is governed by their own privacy policies.
We do not use data for automated decision-making or profiling.
How long we keep data
- Browsing data: for the period set by the hosting provider for security purposes, then deleted.
- Visit statistics: according to the setting of the Google Analytics property, for a maximum of 14 months, after which they are deleted by Google; the _ga cookies remain in your browser for a maximum of 13 months.
- Messages and phone calls: for as long as necessary to reply to you and to carry out any commission; beyond that, only what is required by legal obligations, for example tax obligations.
- Storage on your device: remains in your browser until you delete it; we do not receive it.
Who receives the data
Data are processed by the studio and, for technical purposes only, by the hosting provider and the email provider, which act as processors. If you accept visit statistics, Google Analytics data are processed by Google Ireland Limited as a processor. We do not sell personal data, pass them on to third parties for their own purposes or make them public.
Transfers outside the European Economic Area can take place only if you accept visit statistics, activate machine translation or start a YouTube video. For Google, the United States is covered by the European Commission’s adequacy decision on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, in which Google LLC participates; for GTranslate, the terms of its privacy policy apply. Apart from these cases, we do not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area.
Your rights
At any time you can exercise your right to:
- know whether we process data concerning you and obtain a copy of them;
- have them rectified or completed;
- have them erased, except those we must keep to comply with legal obligations;
- restrict their processing;
- receive them in a commonly used format, in order to transmit them to others;
- object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
These are the rights provided for in Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR. To exercise them, simply write to forall@rodighiero.design.
If you believe that the processing does not comply with the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (opens in a new tab).
