Giotto

Well-being accessories for the home bathroom

As life expectancy keeps rising and more people reach the fourth age, bathroom products need to move ever further away from the language of the hospital. Giotto was created within this vision, to respect the wishes of people who need safety aids that closely resemble the most classic bathroom accessories, from a Design for All perspective.

The idea

Bathroom accessories

Giotto’s forms and details deliberately echo a walking stick, offering support and a handhold in different positions to suit different needs. Careful detailing and an integrated towel holder change how the collection is perceived: as familiar bathroom accessories, rather than simply as aids.

Design for accessibility and beauty

The aid becomes an accessory.

Home wellness

We imagined this space as a balance between its functional purpose and generous room for relaxation, where time, age and nature meet to create an elegant, comfortable place. Stone and wood recall the typical places of well-being, and water links the moments of caring for one’s body with moments of rest. A break from everyday life, like the later years of life, calls for more spacious, brighter rooms: the starting point for home wellness.

Accessories for well-being

The characteristic elements of the series, such as the grab rails, the tilting mirror and the shower seat, are designed to fit easily both into homes and into settings dedicated to personal care and health. Their formal qualities, combined with Goman’s ability to find the right technical solutions, make this collection an important starting point: the natural outcome of years of research and development, so that the bathroom can be purely a place of pleasure and well-being.

Frequently asked questions

Which items does the Giotto series include?

Safety grab rails, a tilting mirror and a shower seat. The grab rails echo a walking stick: they can be held as a support or as a handhold, in several positions, and they incorporate the towel holder, which shifts them from aid towards accessory. The series is designed both for the home and for care facilities.
